about

I’m a maker driven by a simple question: what happens when a fixed system meets an unpredictable material?

My work starts with method — precise, repeatable, controlled. What the material does within that method is not up to me. The tension between those two things is what I’m trying to make visible.

This has been the logic behind everything I’ve made — from earlier sculptural experiments to A Different Turn, the series I’m developing now: geometric wood blanks turned on a lathe while their original geometry is deliberately preserved. The lathe imposes rotation. The block resists. The object records what happened between them.
