Koen Boersma discovered his passion for creating  contrasting colors and graphic forms in 3d, while studying at the Willem de Kooning academy, Rotterdam.  Starting with the specialization in packaging design at the course Arts&Crafts, but shifting courses to product design after the first half year of the two year study, he merged his skill in graphic design with the love for craftmanship.

The crafts the artist uses to actualize his artistic vision, are glasfusing, woodturning and woodworking in general.
